ok quick pit-stop in the europe journaling to talk about my new chevron wall! i’ve been wanting to give my bedroom at home a facelift for awhile now, so when my parents finished painting & re-flooring my sister’s room, i jumped on the bandwagon. in more ways than one actually. i went with the trendiest of trendy and decided to create a chevron wall! and also paint the rest a mushroom-y gray (also pretty trendy, but i’m cool with it). soooo while i was home over the fourth of july week my dad and i got to work making my decor dreams come true. we primed my previously dull blue wall, gave it a couple new coats of paint and then set out to measure, tape and paint gray and white chevron stripes on the longest wall in the room. despite a few minor issues (painting the gray color in what was supposed to be a white stripe….twice :)) we finished in just a few hours and were soo pleased with the result! especially for just kind of winging the whole thing. so ta-da! and the next step is putting in the same wood flooring that is in ashley’s room….and throwing away the pitiful blue carpet that i thought was cool in 7th grade.
